The Lion Brewery has been established in Hartlepool for over 150 years and has been the home to Camerons since 1865.

In April 2002 The Lion Brewery was purchased by Castle Eden Brewery and a new company was formed - Camerons Brewery Limited.

The Lion Brewery is a 500,000 barrel capacity production site, brewing cask, keg and bottled ales and lagers.

We also have a 10 barrel brew length mini brewery on site (The Lions Den) as well as our own dedicated bottling and packaging line.

Using the best ingredients and water from our own well we are a major regional independent brewery that delivers the highest quality craft beer brands and unrivalled service to our consumers and to our trade customers alike.

Your Local Brewery

Since its takeover in 2002, Camerons Brewery is once again back in family ownership. Camerons is now the only independent regional brewery in the North East.

Camerons only use the finest quality ingredients in the production of its award wining ales and lagers. The water is sourced locally from the well that was originally used from the day the brewery was opened in 1852.

As you would expect from a local brewery, Camerons prides itself on its service levels, providing in house distribution, technical services and dedicated telesales team.

As well as at its own portfolio Camerons are also involved in large and small scale contract brewing and packaging.

Camerons Brewery has also extended its distribution through out the North or England with the addition of wholesale deports in Seaham and Consett as well as expanding it business to include a wine division 'Wine World'.
